Using fireworks sounds for dogs training will desensitise them to the loud scary sounds, noises and bangs from fireworks. Dogs feel threatened by these sounds and their resulting behaviour can sadly have very negative or even fatal outcomes.
Stop Your Dog Being Scared of Fireworks
To stop your dog being scared of fireworks, like all aspects of dog training, will take time, consistency and patience. We have produced a 7-Level training course for you to use for free in your own home to reduce your dogs fear of fireworks sounds. By the end of Level 7, your dog should no longer be scared of fireworks sounds. You will notice the Level 1 is gentle on the exposure to fireworks sounds so your dog is not overwhelmed. with every level, start with the volume low and play it a number of times a day for a number of days or weeks before moving up to the next level.
From the comfort of your own home, you can access all 7-Levels on the following streaming services-
